A deflagration event occurred on the Auxiliary Boiler of the CSP plant causing extensive damage resulting in the boiler having to be dismantled and reconstructed.

Asides the physical damage, the event caused a critical delay to the start-up of the facility. Modus were engaged to prepare the case file for the costs or repair and a “but for” analysis to determine the period of delay to start-up and resulting levels of insurable losses.

We engaged directly with the insurer and its loss adjuster on behalf of our client to successfully negotiate a settlement for both elements of the claim.
